Scam-An attempt to trick someone, usually with the Intention of stealing money or privacy Information.
Identity Theft-A type of crime In which your private Information Is stolen and used for criminal activity.
Vulnerable-In a position that makes it easier for you to be harmed or attacked.
Phishing-When people send you phony emails, pop-up messages, social media messeges,texts,calls,or links to fake websites In order to personal and financial Information.
Information Thieves look for

  •     Food Stamp Number
  •       Date of Birth
  •      Pin Number
  •     Passwords

5 rules to follow to protect yourself

Week 10 Weekly Blog

I had a pretty awesome week.We finally moved Into our building so I am super excited.Our building Is sweet It has nice labs,bathrooms,and everything.My buddies and are going to have a blast.Let's go Freshmen!!!!We have a nice view of the campus because of all the windows.This year will be a great year us moving Into our building and being able to have a little bit more freedom.That's Fantastical I love It.

The Digital Literary was "What are some tips for limiting data collection."Teaches us how to avoid cookies,ads,and possible viruses.This Is good because before this I did not know that companies store your Information,and sell your email address to other companies.I really enjoy learning about how to prevent viruses,ads,and etc.Ads are a dread I do not like them at all.Here are some tips for limiting data collection:

  • Don't provide your email address to mailing lists unless you need to do so
  • Avoid using the same website
  • Don't download search engine tool bars
  • Unsubscribe from list servers
  • Limit the number of times you click ads
  • Avoid "Too good to be true" Products
  • Disable Internet cookies
